Networks

A hub is a network of groups. These could be groups with a common interest such as sports clubs in an area or groups with similar interests throughout the UK - or even groups of similar interests in counties across the UK with a major hub at the central office.

In concept, the organisation can be hierarchical with degrees of control delegated to different levels and with information flowing in both directions. In reality, a small group in a town or village may be a member of a large UK collection of groups and also be closely involved with other local groups.

This presents Community Hub with an opportunity for different groups to promote their events on other groups' websites or to all members of the public. For example, one group may not wish to promote their evening activities but the local Dramatic Society would be delighted to promote their performances to your membership (with you granting them permission).

By linking different groups together in a network, the sharing of information can be much easier and you can reach a wider range of people and can also share experiences.

Community Hub is Flexible. You can organise a single group very easily, or multiple groups into a cluster, or a super cluster with groups linked in multiple ways to different groups with different objectives. This is Hyperlocal where the links in a local area can include a wide range of interests and different membership.
